I. Identifying Type of File Upload
The small icon next to the file name in the Document Center will help identify how the file was uploaded.
To view the files and identify each type:
Click Documents from Boaradable's main menu panel
Navigate to the desired folder
If the image next to the file name has no symbol attached to the icon, it was uploaded from a computer
If the image next to the file name has a small symbol, it is a linked file and the symbol will show where it was linked from; for example:
Linked from Dropbox
Linked from Google Drive
Linked from OneDrive
II. Viewing Options Based on Upload
How a document can be viewed depends on how it was uploaded to the Document Center and the type of file it is.
Based on the type of Upload:
Uploaded from User's Computer
These documents will have the option to Open PDF from ellipsis menu
These documents will sometimes have the option to Download as Pdf when the name is clicked
Please refer to Viewing Files Based on File Type for more information
Uploaded from Dropbox, Google Drive, or OneDrive
The only option available is to click the file name
Click the name of the file again to open it in the associated app it was linked from
III. Viewing Files Based on File Type
The following provides an overview of what can be expected when viewing uploaded files of various types (this does not apply to linked files). Files uploaded from a computer will have the option in the ellipsis menu to Open PDF - the only exceptions to this are csv and docx files.

Options and performance based on file type:
Apple Files
Includes Keynote (.key), Numbers (.numbers), Pages (.pages)
Click Open PDF from ellipsis menu
In some cases, this will result in a '500 Server Error'
These types of files are not the best candidates to convert to PDF
Click on the name of the file in Document Center
Click Open to view the file in a new window
If the image for the file is blue, it may not open to a new window; it will instead download the file to your computer
Click Download to download the file and view it from your computer
Comma separated files (.csv)
The Open PDF from ellipsis menu is not available for this file type
Click on the name of the file in Document Center
Click Open to view the file in a new window
Click Download to download the file and view it from your computer
Image files (jpeg, png)
Click Open PDF from ellipsis menu
Opens file in a new window
Click on the name of the file in Document Center
Click Open to view in a new window
Click Download to download the file and view it from your computer in its intended format
Click Download as Pdf to download the file and view it from your computer as a converted pdf document
Microsoft Files
Includes Excel (xls, xlsx), Powerpoint (ppt, pptx), Word (doc, docx)
Click Open PDF from ellipsis menu
All of the above listed file types have this option except docx
Opens in a new window in pd form
Click on the name of the file in Document Center
Click Open or Download to download the file and view it from your computer in its intended format
Click Download as Pdf to download the file and view it from your computer as a converted pdf document
PDF files (.pdf)
Click Open PDF from ellipsis menu
File opens in a new window
Click name of file from folder in Document Center
Click Open to view the file in a new window
Click Download to download the file and view it from your computer
