Use survey elements such as radio buttons and ranking questions to collect data from Boardable users
The survey builder contains several elements such as text fields, radio buttons, and dropdown menus. You can add these elements in any number or combination in order to collect data from respondents.
The following table describes each of the elements you can add to a survey.
Radio button group | Select only one option from a predefined list of mutually exclusive choices |
Rating scale | Measure satisfaction, quality, or opinion on a linear scale. Use stars, smileys, or custom labels. |
Checkboxes | Select multiple choices from a predefined list |
Dropdown | Select one option from a predefined list, but answer choices are hidden until the element is selected. |
Multi-select dropdown | Select multiple choices from a predefined list, but choices are hidden until the element is selected. |
Yes/No (Boolean) | Select one of two binary options: yes or no |
File upload | Collect file submissions from respondents |
Ranking | Place answer choices in order of preference, importance, or priority |
Single-line input | Collect constrained/validated inputs such as dates, times, months, numbers, and URLs |
Long text | Collect open-ended, free-text responses |
Multiple textboxes | Create several single-line inputs, each with a customizable label |
Panel | Enclose several survey elements within the same compartment |
Dynamic panel | Allow respondents to add or remove elements from their submissions |
Single-select matrix | Evaluate multiple items (rows) using the same set of answer choices (columns), but respondents can choose only one option per row |
Image | Allow respondents to upload image files |
Signature | Allow respondents to create and upload e-signatures |
Validated input fields | Limit the kind of data users can enter. Collect dates, months, numbers, passwords, times, and URLs |
