Before You Begin

Meeting Minutes provide an organized record of discussions, decisions, and actions from your meetings.

Only Organization Admins, Meeting Owners, and Meeting Collaborators can create or edit Minutes.
If a designated notetaker cannot see the Minutes button, an Admin must first promote that user to Collaborator.

Before publication, Minutes are visible only to Admins, Meeting Owners/Creators, and Collaborators.
After publication, they become visible to all invited Admins, Members, and Observers.

Notes:

  • File attachments cannot be added to Minutes.


Create Minutes from the Meeting Page

Minutes can be created for single- or multi-day meetings. Multi-day agendas automatically combine all agenda items into one continuous Minutes document.

  1. Navigate to the Meeting Page.

  2. Click the Minutes tab.

  3. Select Start Minutes.

  4. Choose one of the following options:

    • Start from Scratch — opens a blank editor.

    • Start from the Agenda — imports the most recent agenda into the editor.

    • Start from AI-Generated Minutes — if AI features are enabled, automatically generates a draft of the Minutes.

  5. Click the + icon to add entries and select an entry type from the dropdown menu.

  6. When finished, click Finish and allow others to edit to make the document collaborative.


Create Minutes During Boardable Video

Minutes can also be created in real time during a Boardable Video session.

  1. Join the Boardable Video meeting.

  2. From the left Meeting Content menu, click the Minutes icon (pencil and paper).

  3. If no Minutes exist, click Start Minutes.

  4. Choose Start from the Agenda or Start from Scratch.

  5. Use the + icon to add entries or sections.

  6. When complete, click Finish and allow others to edit at the top of the page.


Start from Scratch

When you start from scratch, you can create fully customized Minutes without preloaded content.

  1. Click inside the text field labeled Start typing.

  2. Click the + icon to open the entry type dropdown.

  3. Add and format entries as needed.


Start from the Agenda

When you start from the agenda, the current version of the agenda is imported directly into the Minutes editor for review and note-taking.

  1. Click inside the text field labeled Start typing.

  2. Click the + icon to open the entry type dropdown.

  3. Add and format entries as needed.


AI-Generated Minutes

If AI is enabled in your organization, you can use it to automatically draft your meeting Minutes.

  1. Confirm that AI is enabled in Organization Settings.

  2. Navigate to the Meeting Page.

  3. Click the Minutes tab.

  4. Select Start from AI-Generated Minutes to open and review the draft.
