I. Types of Uploads and Access Behavior
Documents can be directly uploaded to the Document Center. Additionally, they can be linked from Google Drive, OneDrive, or DropBox.
The behavior of the file depends on the option selected:

Upload File
-
Upload file(s) from a user's computer; this can be previewed as a PDF within Boardable
-
The type of files that can be uploaded and previewed as PDFs include:

Apple Files
-
Keynote (.key), Numbers (.numbers), Pages (.pages)

Image files (jpeg, png)
-
Microsoft Files
-
Excel (xls, xlsx), Powerpoint (ppt, pptx), Word (docx)

PDF files (.pdf)
-
-
Clicking the document name will generally open options to Open, Download, or Download as PDF

Link Files

Uploads a link to a file from one of the optional apps

The document will be embedded in Boardable from the app it is associated with (Google Drive, Dropbox, or OneDrive)

By default, all Document Center files are accessible by all admins and members.

II. Upload Documents
There are four ways a document can be uploaded to the Document Center:

User's computer

Dropbox
-
Google Drive
-
OneDrive
Notes:
-
Maximum upload file size is 250 MB per file
-
The uploaded file will appear in the folder currently open
The first step in uploading documents to the Document Center:

Click Documents from Boardable's main menu panel
-
Once the Document Center is open, click New
-
Or navigate to an appropriate folder and then click New
-

i. From User's Computer
Single documents via Upload a Document menu
To directly upload a document, follow these steps:

Click Documents in Boardable's main menu
-
Click New
-
Options drop down
-
-
Click Upload File
-
Upload a document menu pops up
-

Click the field labeled Drop files here or click to upload
-
The file directory pop-up window will appear (Finder, File Explorer, Launcher, etc. depending on operating system)
-
Navigate to the appropriate directory
-
Double click the desired file to add it to the form
-
-
-
Fill in the rest of the form (note the file name and extension are now displayed)
-
Document Title: this could be the name of the actual file or another title of your choosing
-
Notes: enter helpful notes or a description regarding the file and what it may be used for
-
Notifications will be sent to: choose who should receive notification regarding the file (this does not designate who has access, please refer to Related Articles for information regarding folders and privacy)

Click Save
Drag and Drop
Notes:
-
Title is set as the document's title on the device before upload
-
Files uploaded via drag and drop have no notes
-
Notifications are not sent for files uploaded via drag and drop
-
Click Documents in Boardable's main menu
-
Document center opens
-
-
Open the device's document navigation (i.e. Finder, Explorer, etc.)
-
Select file from the device's document navigation
-
Click and drag this to the Document Center, holding down the mouse button
-
Release the mouse button
-
File is added to the Document Center
-
ii. From Dropbox
Note: only individual files can be attached to Boardable from Dropbox, and not folders; to learn supported options for bulk upload, please see Related Articles

Click Documents in Boardable's main menu
-
Click New
-
Options drop down
-
-
Click Dropbox
-
The Dropbox pop-up window appears
-
After signing in (if necessary), navigate to the appropriate folder and files
-
-
Click in the box next to the desired file name or files to add a checkmark
-
Once a file is checked, the Choose button will be available
-
Click Choose to add the file(s) to the current open folder in the Document Center
iii. From Google Drive
Notes:

Only individual files can be attached to Boardable from Google Drive, and not folders; to learn supported options for bulk upload, please see Related Articles

Third-party pop-ups must be enabled in the browser's settings to select Google Drive documents for upload from a Google Drive folder
-
Click Documents in Boardable's main menu
-
Click New
-
Options drop down
-
-
Click Google Drive
-
The Google Drive pop-up window appears
-
After signing in (if necessary), click Yes to allow Boardable access to the files (if asked - this allows files to be selected)
-
If concerned, these permissions can be revoked after files have been added by doing the following:
-
Sign in to Google Drive from a browser
-
Go to Settings (gear icon in the upper right corner)
-
Click Manage Apps
-
Click Options next to Boardable
-
Click Disconnect from Drive
-
A pop-up window will appear to confirm, click Disconnect
-
Click Done
-
The files already added to Boardable will still be available in Boardable
-
-
-
Navigate to the appropriate folder and file(s)
-
Select the file or files to include
-
To select multiple files that are sequential, click the first file, hold the shift button and then click the last file
-
To select multiple files out of order, click a file, hold down the Ctrl (PC) or cmd (Mac) button and continue to hold until all desired files are selected
-

Once file(s) are selected, the Select button will be available
-
Click Select to add the file(s) to the current open folder in the Document Center
iv. From OneDrive

Click New, then click OneDrive
-
Select between Copy File and Create a live document
-

The OneDrive pop-up window will appear
-
Complete OneDrive login and permissions menu if prompted
-
OneDrive / Sharepoint file directory opens
-
-
Hover over the desired file; circle displays
-
Click this circle to fill it with a checkmark and select it
-
Repeat steps 5-6 until all desired files are selected
-
Click Select
