Microsoft Teams with Boardable Meetings

Learn how to use Microsoft Teams for video conferencing with Boardable meetings.

I. Microsoft Teams Integration

To use Microsoft Teams with a Boardable Meeting, itโ€™s necessary to log in via the Microsoft account.

Microsoft Teams cannot be used with a Boardable meeting while logged in with the Boardable username and password.

Instead, itโ€™s necessary to access Boardable via the Microsoft login option.

Only a Microsoft account at the same email address as the Boardable login address can be used to add Microsoft Teams to a meeting. If the Boardable login address does not match the Microsoft account address, this feature cannot be used. To learn how to update the login address, please see Related Articles.

To add Teams to a Boardable meeting:

  1. Log out if currently logged in, and return to login screen

  2. Click Microsoft beneath Log in with...

  3. Submit Microsoft username, Microsoft password, and Microsoft 2FA code if prompted

  4. Open new meeting form

  5. Complete title, date, and other fields as wanted

  6. Click 3 โ€” Location & Video

  7. Click Other Video

    1. Video conferencing provider defaults to Microsoft Teams

  8. Click Create Meeting

    1. Meeting page is created

    2. Teams link is generated from account used for log in; this link is opened by Join Meeting button on meeting page, and by link provided in meeting invites, when sent

II. Add Teams Without Integration

  1. Create Teams link from Teams account:

    1. Go to the Teams calendar app

    2. Create and copy a Teams link

      1. To create a link for a specific day and time:

        • Go to Teams calendar

        • Click New Meeting

        • Complete Teams New Meeting Menu, selecting desired date and time

        • Click Save

        • Copy Teams link from calendar event on the date selected during previous steps

      2. To create a link for general use:

        • Go to Teams calendar

        • Click Meet Now

        • Click Get Link to Share

        • Copy the link displayed in the menu this pops out

  2. In Boardable, open new meeting form

  3. Complete title, date, and other fields as wanted

  4. Click 3 โ€” Location & Video

  5. Click Other Video

  6. Click field beneath Third-party Video Service to drop down options

  7. Click Other from these options

  8. Paste the link copied during step 1 into the field beneath this labeled Video Link

  9. Click Create Meeting

    1. Meeting page is created

    2. Teams link is generated from account used for log in; this link is opened by Join Meeting button on meeting page, and by link provided in meeting invites, when sent
