Learn the best use cases for Boardable's integrations with Google Drive, OneDrive, and Dropbox

I. Introduction

Individual files can be shared to the Boardable platform from Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive. These can be posted to the following locations:

  • Document Center

  • Group pages

  • Meeting pages

  • Agendas (attachments)

These integrations can best help share individual files which do not need to be included in board packets.

To share files which do not match this description, do not use these integrations. Instead, download the desired file or folder to the device, then upload to Boardable from the device.

II. Google Drive & Dropbox

Files linked from Google drive can be viewed and edited within the Boardable platform.

Files linked from Dropbox can be viewed within the Boardable platform. They cannot be edited via Boardable.

Only individual files can be added to Boardable from these locations.

To upload folders, do not use the Google Drive or Dropbox integration.

Instead, download the desired folder to the device, then upload it to Boardable from the device.

These files cannot be included in Board Packets. To include a file in a board packet, do not use the Google Drive or Dropbox integration to attach it to the agenda.

Instead, download the desired document to the device, then attach it to the agenda from the device.

III. OneDrive

Files linked from OneDrive cannot be viewed or edited within the Boardable platform. Instead, the document page for each such file displays an Open in OneDrive button.

To view the file, it's necessary to click this button, opening OneDrive.

To let others in the organization view a file without leaving Boardable, do not use the OneDrive integration.

Instead, download the desired document to the device, then upload it to Boardable from the device.

Only individual files can be added to Boardable from OneDrive. To upload folders, do not use the OneDrive integration.

Instead, download the desired folder to the device, then upload it to Boardable from the device.

OneDrive files cannot be included in Board Packets. To include a file in a board packet, do not use the OneDrive integration to attach it to the agenda.

Instead, download the desired document to the device, then attach it to the agenda from the device.
