TABLE OF CONTENTS

I. Accidentally Forwarded Emails

Emails whose from: addresses do not end with one of the domains listed below are not sent via Boardable.

  • @emailer.boardable.com

  • @emailer.ca.boardable.com

  • @emailer.eu.boardable.com

This is true even for legitimate messages.

Boardable messages may be accidentally forwarded from intended recipients to others, either via the forward button, or as a result of a forwarding rule set up in their email settings.

If a legitimate Boardable message is received by an unexpected email address, and the from: address on the unwanted copy does not contain one of the domains listed above, please invite the sender to examine their email settings for a rule like this to disable it.

II. Notifications to Unwanted / Outdated Address

Meeting invite emails and meeting update emails are only sent to the login address.

Other email invites are sent to the login address and to the additional address for notifications added in settings.

No email notifications are sent to the contact email address, unless this address matches the login address or additional address for notifications.

If an email notification is received to a previously used address, the cause is likely that the new address has been made a contact address, instead of the login address or additional address for notifications.

To ensure that all future notifications are delivered to the desired address, please set this address as the login address. To learn how to do so, see Related Articles.

III. Unwanted Notifications to Correct Address

Meeting invitation emails, and meeting update notification emails, cannot be disabled or reduced.

All other email notifications—including those for polls, discussions, comments, documents, and tasks—can be disabled or reduced in frequency. This preference can be set on a person-by-person basis.

Admins can update this preference for themselves, and for any other admin, member, or observer.

Members and observers can only set this preference for themselves.

A person can disable email notifications for their own account via the following steps:

  1. Click the profile picture or grey silhouette at the top right side of the screen

  2. Click User Settings

  3. Click Settings

  4. Click Do not send email notifications

  5. Click Save

An admin can disable email notifications for others via the following steps:

  1. Click People from the main menu panel

  2. From Grid view, click Edit icon next to the desired user's name

    1. Edit Profile page opens

    2. From List view:

      1. Click the desired user's name; user's People page opens

      2. Click Edit

  3. Click Settings

  4. Click Do not send email notifications

  5. Click Save

To learn how to make other notifications settings changes, please see Related Articles.
