Learn when notifications are sent for new documents

TABLE OF CONTENTS


I. Document Center

Notifications can be sent for the following file types during upload:

  • Individual files uploaded via New > Upload a file

  • Multiple, zipped files uploaded via New > Upload a file

To enable notifications during upload for these files,

  1. Click Documents on the leftmost menu, opening the Document center

  2. Click New

  3. Click Upload a file

  4. Add the desired file to the menu this pops out

  5. Add desired notification recipients

    1. To add a single recipient:

      1. Click into the Notify text box

      2. Type the desired recipient's display name

      3. Click their name from the menu this drops down

    2. To add a group of recipients:

      1. Click into the Notify text box

      2. Type the desired group's title

      3. Click the title from the menu this drops down

  6. Set other fields as wanted

  7. Click Save

Notifications are not supported for the following file types:

  • Files dragged and dropped from the device to the document center

    • This is true for both individual files and multiple files

  • Files attached to Boardable from OneDrive, Google Drive, or Drop Box

II. Group Page

Document upload notifications are not supported from group pages.

To send notifications for a group document, upload it to the document center as described in section I, then attach it to the group page from the document center.

III. Meeting Page

Notifications for meeting materials β€” including documents, the agenda, and (for Professional organizations) the Board Packet β€” can be sent on publication of these materials.

This notification is sent to all invitees. Selective publication notification is not supported.

To publish materials with notifications enabled:

  1. Navigate to the meeting page

  2. Click Materials

  3. Click Publish

  4. Ensure the checkbox next to Send email notification to invitees is filled in

  5. Click Send
