For Team Leads + Finance & Compliance Trustees Serving as Boardable Administrators
Below is a concise quick-start guide to help you set up Boardable for your board in just a few simple steps.
Welcome to Boardable! As a Boardable Account Administrator, you will use the software to:
- organize board meetings, using tools like:
- Agendas
- Minutes
- Calendar Invites
- RSVP Tracking
- assign tasks to your trustees
- store up to date trustee information
The guide below can be used set up your account and start using the key areas of the tool.
I. Accessing your Account
Initial Login
Your access to your account will be through your email address with the following naming structure:

Your invitation to Boardable was sent to this email account.
To accept the invitation, please follow the instructions linked here.
All future logins
You can login to Boardable at app.boardable.com/login, using the password you created, or with your Microsoft Single Sign On.
Please note: localities in Canada are in the CA region when logging in, localities in Europe are in the EU region, all others are in the US region. Instructions to navigate the regions can be found here.
II. Basic Account Setup - Organization Settings
Once logged into Boardable as an Administrator, you'll have a few setup steps to complete for your account, listed below:
- Modify the Organizational Settings for your board. These setting changes apply to all users of your account.
- To modify these settings, navigate to the Settings Tab from the left navigation menu in the ADMIN section.
- You can navigate between all settings using the tabs at the top of the Organizational Settings screen.
- To configure your Organizational Settings, please use the steps below for each tab
- Settings tab: you can use these instructions to set up.
- Dashboard tab: copy and paste the statement in green below, then click "Save."
- To modify these settings, navigate to the Settings Tab from the left navigation menu in the ADMIN section.

- Custom Data Collection: create fields to upload individual’s NDAs and Job Descriptions using these instructions.
- Transcription & AI: use these instructions to turn on both options.
- Profile Customization: Provide specific fields for each user to fill out. To do so check only the boxes for "Shared Info, Job Title, Company" and then click "Save Settings."

This portal is designed to manage and streamline your team meetings.
It is where you will set up and distribute meetings and agendas, record meeting minutes and document board decisions.
By using Boardable, you are ensuring that your team meets its governance requirements while running an efficient meeting cadence.
III. Your User Profile Setup - User Settings
To setup your profile, settings and preferences, navigate to the User Settings, located in the dropdown arrow at the top right corner of your Boardable account.
You will see all the fields that were enabled in the Organization's Settings. Enter your information in your profile accordingly, clicking Save on each tab (Shared Info, Contact Info, Profile Image, Location and Custom Data Collection).
