Before You Begin

Boardable.AI helps your organization prepare meeting materials, find information, and handle board work. This article explains how these tools handle information and how admins oversee Ask Boardable.

Data and Privacy

Is Our Information Used to Train AI Models?

No. Your content is never used to train AI models. Boardable has a zero-retention agreement with its AI provider, so the provider does not retain your content.

Do Members Need to Copy Board Information Into Other AI Tools?

No. Boardable.AI tools work within Boardable’s workflows, including Ask Boardable by email. Members do not need to copy board information into consumer AI tools to use these features.

Can Ask Boardable Access Everything in Our Organization?

No. Ask Boardable uses meeting context, including RSVPs, board packets, and meeting documents. It can also look up a member’s own tasks and polls.

Ask Boardable respects each member’s permissions. It cannot access the document center, discussions, or surveys.

Admin Oversight

Who Can See What Members Ask Ask Boardable?

Every Ask Boardable conversation is logged and visible to admins under Ask Boardable. Members do not have a private channel with Ask Boardable.

Who Decides Which Members Receive Proactive Emails?

Admins select which members receive proactive emails. Members do not receive these emails until an admin selects them under Ask Boardable > Manage Ask Boardable nudges and clicks Submit.

Can a Member Stop Receiving Proactive Emails?

Members should contact their admin to request removal from proactive emails. The admin can update the recipients under Ask Boardable > Ask Boardable nudges and click Submit.

Members can still email Ask Boardable with requests after being removed from proactive emails.

Do Ask Boardable Replies Include Document Attachments?

Admins control whether replies include document attachments. When attachments are disabled, replies include links instead.

Accuracy and Security

Can Boardable.AI Make Mistakes?

Yes. AI can make mistakes. Verify important details against your organization’s minutes, documents, and meeting information.

Ask Boardable replies include a note that they were generated by AI and should be verified. Follow Up answers cannot be edited, and the minutes remain the meeting record.

Which Email Address Does Ask Boardable Use?

Ask Boardable sends and receives email at ask@boardable.ai. It identifies members by the email address they use to log in to Boardable.

What Should a Member Do With a Suspicious Email?

If an email appears to be from Ask Boardable but seems suspicious, do not click links or open attachments. Forward the email to support@boardable.com for review.
