Before You Begin
Calendar event notifications are automatically sent to invitees’ login email addresses when a meeting is published. Each notification includes an .ics file that creates, updates, or removes the related calendar event.
Calendar events are only generated for meetings. Other types of events cannot be created through the Boardable platform.
Meeting Invite Notifications
Meeting invite notifications are sent only to users’ login addresses.
Each email includes:
-
Meeting title (labeled “Recurring” for series installments)
-
Date and time
-
List of invitees
-
Link to the Boardable meeting or series page
-
Video conferencing link, if applicable
-
For Boardable Video meetings, dial-in details
-
An
.icsfile that automatically adds the event to the invitee’s calendar
Meeting Update Notifications
Update notifications are sent to login addresses when meeting details are changed. These include the same details as invite notifications.
If a meeting’s date, time, or other details are modified, the included .ics file automatically updates the existing calendar event.
Meeting Cancellation Notifications
Cancellation notifications are sent to invitees’ login addresses when a meeting is canceled with notifications enabled.
Each cancellation email includes:
-
The same meeting details as the invite notification
-
A notice stating “This event has been cancelled.”
-
An
.icsfile that removes the event from the invitee’s calendar
RSVPs
Invite notifications allow recipients to RSVP directly from the email. Two RSVP options appear:
-
One managed by the email provider
-
One managed by Boardable
When users select the Boardable RSVP option, their responses automatically update on the meeting page.
