Customize your Boardable experience for ease of use and accessibility.

      Before You Begin

      The Accessibility Menu in Boardable allows users to adjust the interface for better readability, visibility, and navigation. Options remain active until turned off and are saved between sessions.

      Note: Accessibility adjustments do not currently apply to the Help Center (powered by a third-party vendor).

      Access the Accessibility Menu

      You can open the Accessibility Menu in three ways:

      1. Keyboard Shortcut

        • Press CTRL + U at any time.

      2. Profile Panel

        • Click your profile image in the top bar.

        • Select Accessibility from the drop-down menu.

      3. Before Organization Selection

        • If you belong to multiple organizations, click the open arms icon after logging in and before selecting an organization.

      When the menu opens, select one or more options. Active settings display a checkmark. Click X to close the menu when finished.

      Accessibility Options

      Each option customizes how Boardable displays and behaves.

      Option Description
      Language Selection Changes the Accessibility Menu language only.
      Oversized Widget Enlarges menu widgets for easier selection.
      Screen Reader Cycles through Normal, Fast, and Slow reading speeds; click again to turn off.
      Contrast Adjusts screen color contrast levels.
      Smart Contrast Automatically increases text-to-background contrast for visibility.
      Highlight Links Outlines all clickable buttons and links in high-contrast yellow with underlines.
      Bigger Text Enlarges text size in four incremental levels.
      Text Spacing Increases spacing between letters and words (light, moderate, heavy).
      Pause Animations Stops page motion
      Hide Images Removes all images from the page or application.
      Dyslexia Friendly Switches to dyslexia-friendly or legible fonts.
      Cursor Adjusts pointer size and activates reading guides.
      Tooltips Shows high-contrast labels when hovering over interface elements.
      Page Structure Opens a window listing page headings, landmarks, and links for navigation.
      Line Height Adjusts line spacing (1.5x, 1.75x, 2x).
      Text Align Aligns text left, right, center, or justified.
      Dictionary Highlights any word to view its Merriam-Webster definition.
      Saturation Adjusts color intensity and vibrancy.
      Move/Hide Widget Repositions or hides the Accessibility Menu (hiding not recommended).
      Reset All Returns all settings to the default Boardable appearance.

      Accessibility Profiles

      Profiles enable multiple accessibility features with a single click.

      Blind Screen Reader (Normal speed)
      Color Blind Smart Contrast, High Saturation
      Dyslexia Dyslexia Friendly, Pause Animations
      Visually Impaired Bigger Text, Pause Animations, Legible Fonts, Big Cursor, Tooltips
      Cognitive & Learning Smart Contrast, Bigger Text, Pause Animations, Reading Guide, Tooltips
      Seizure & Epileptic Pause Animations, Low Saturation

      After selecting a profile, you can further adjust individual settings for a personalized experience.
