Learn how to vote in a poll, and edit your response after voting

I. Vote on a Poll

Notes:

  • Only users assigned to a poll can vote on it; casting votes on behalf of another user is not supported

  • Only Professional organizations can have write-in poll responses

  • When + Write-in response does not appear beneath pre-written responses, this means the organization is not Professional, or the poll creator opted not to allow write-in responses

To vote on a poll:

  1. Navigate to the poll page

  2. Select desired response(s):

    1. Checkboxes next to poll options indicate that multiple choices are allowed; click the desired responses to fill these in

    2. Bubbles next to poll options indicate that only one choice is allowed; click the desired response to fill this in

    3. Click + Write-in response to write a custom response

    4. Click Submit

      1. Poll results update to include the vote(s)

II. Edit a Poll Vote

Notes:

  • Votes can only be edited for polls by Professional organizations.

  • Only Professional organizations can have write-in poll responses.

  • If Update response does not appear above poll results, this means the organization is not professional, or the poll creator opted not to allow vote edits.

  • When + Write-in response does not appear beneath pre-written responses, this means the poll creator opted not to allow write-in responses.

  • Each person can only edit their own vote; admins cannot do this on behalf of others.

To edit a response after voting:

  1. Navigate to the poll page

    1. To learn how to do this, please see Related Articles

  2. Click Update Response

  3. Select desired response:

    1. Click the bubble or checkboxes next to a pre-written response to fill this in OR

    2. Click + Write-in response to write a custom response

    3. Click Submit

      1. Poll results update to include the new vote(s) and remove the old vote(s)
